Spring 2014 iPad Checklist!


Attention 9th and 10th Grade Students:


All student iPads will be collected for upgrades at the conclusion of YES presentations on June 10th, 2014.

If you have completed and handed in a ‘2014 BHS Summer iPad Use Agreement’ BEFORE May 23rd, 2014 your are all set with step one.

Students who missed this deadline must pickup the form in the Student Affairs Office prior to June 10th. Please note: This form requires parent and / or guardian signatures and will not be available on June 10th.

The form explains the options for students to pick up their iPads for the Summer after they are upgraded or for leaving their iPad here at BHS until they return in the Fall.

a. Students must use their BSDVT email address as their Apple ID / iCloud account next school year, Fall semester 2014.

If students have not created one, they can find directions HERE. Please follow these directions VERY carefully.


b. Login to iCloud (Settings, iCloud) using your BSDVT email to test if it works.

Create one simple Google doc in your Google Drive called “Apple ID” (please do not leave the document labeled as ‘Untitled’) with the following information:

Full Name:
email address:
email password
Apple ID:
Apple ID password:

Reason: Quite a few students forgot their Apple ID and email passwords last Summer. This document is solely for the student reference in their personal account. If students forget their passwords over the Summer, IT can help them locate this document very easily in the Fall.


Every student must complete steps 1, 2, and 3 prior to June 10th. 


If students need assistance, please see visit the IT Department in the BHS Library.

At the conclusion of YES presentations on June 10th, all 9th and 10th graders must go to the gym to turn in their iPad for upgrades. 


Prior to turn in, students must Disable Passcode and Logout of iCloud.

a. Disable Passcode

(General, Passcode Lock)

or

(Settings, Passcode)


b. Logout of iCloud

(Settings, iCloud)


Note: iPads that do not have these four steps completed cannot be easily processed. Failure to do so could result in a SIGNIFICANT delay in receiving your iPad in the Fall.


Please note: All student must turn in their iPads for Summer processing and updates. No exceptions.


Many thanks for your attention and help with this important process, and for your excellent work at the end of the school year. Making the iPads available for the YES program makes for a tight timeline, but it’s worth it.
